Welcome to the home page of the Atmospheric Science Program at UWM! We are a group of scholars, including seven faculty members, who engage in a wide range of atmospheric research. Our specializations include climate variability, cloud physics and numerical modeling, atmospheric dynamics, mesoscale and synoptic meteorology, air pollution meteorology, and nonlinear dynamics and chaos.

We benefit greatly from being embedded within the Department of Mathematical Sciences, which promotes fruitful collaboration with mathematicians. We teach courses and offer atmospheric science degrees at the Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. levels. Our program is an excellent place for studies because of our research excellence, high faculty-student ratio, friendly environment, and open-door policy for student questions.
